Just remembered. Had to tell you this one.....
We drove back and got home at 8.45 Friday evening so that I could go to work on Saturday because, as you know, I hadn't been given the time off.
I walked into work on Saturday morning and the girls wondered why I was there. Then, Elaine, the Manager came in and said, "What are you doing here? I thought you were on holiday." Honestly, they hadn't bothered to let me know I could have the day off. Bliming typical!!

You may be the women to talk to about letting property. We are currently renovating our 3rd but rather than selling we want to rent.

Sam, get a letting agent. We've gone it alone for some time now, but with the house 100 miles away it's not easy. I feel so much calmer having someone else do all the leg work, and he's much more experienced than we can ever be. It's worth the monthly fee just to not feel overwhelmed by it all at times.
Hope the renovation's going well - your 3rd! You must tell me more.

Good to hear from yo again. It was a goregous weekend wasn't it - must have been lovely in Norfolk.
I'm sure your slips ups weren't too bad but keep being vigilant wo;t you? I wouldn't want to slide back and reverse the great losses you have made.
Good luck with the hospital appointment. I have fingers and toes crossed for you.
Also, good advice re the letting agent. I have that dilemma coming up re our holiday cottage.

Thanks for your comments on my photo post, really nice what you said about the ebook idea, I've been thinking about maybe becoming a dietician or nutritionist as a career change, not yet but maybe long term, would certainly help keep me on the straight and narrow, definately some food for thought...so to speak.
